  1. Chicken tikka pizza and halal pepperoni

By Farrah 04 Jul ‘08 Osama found

I've spent this evening in the company of a bevy of extraordinarily glamorous Pakistani ladies in North London at a one-dish party. Among all the killer heels, embroidered silk shalwaar kameezes and glittering diamante earrings was a constant volley of razor sharp wit that kept me on my toes trying to keep up with the puns and Urdu wordplay. From a hijabi with a potential future in stand-up comedy to a dryly sardonic obstetrician from Karachi and an elegant Stanmore grandmother who tried in vain to convince me her name was actually Osama, the evening's limelight was most certainly stolen by the ladies - friends of our third Osama's lovely wife.

Having said that, all the blokes were in a different room and may have had even better repartee than their wives - you'd have to ask Masood about that, but I consider it unlikely given the respective whoops of hilarity from our room and the sound of staid, polite chit-chat emanating from theirs. We're already reaping the benefits of exploring the Muslim world as a duo with access to both sides! Tomorrow we shall compare social notes.

Our third Osama, who shall be gracing our screens shortly, is a restaurateur with a peerage nomination behind him and the ambition to bring about a fusion of South Asian flavours with the Italian food he so adores.

Fill in the missing word for his cheeky, juicy little passion!

    "On top of spaghetti,
    All covered with cheese,
    I lost my poor ********
    When somebody sneezed"

  2. 2 Osamas High and Rising

By Farrah 03 Jul ‘08 Osama found

As if the upturning of my entire existence to globetrot for C4 on a banterous mission weren't surreal enough, today I went to Worcester to meet an Osama with mad scratching skills.

The city of the fabled tangy condiment is home to our second Osama - and boy, was he a corker!

A dedicated turntablist with a record collection to make me weep with joy and emotion, his chosen love was one especially close to my own heart.

Despite a journey blighted with delays, lugging heavy kit around, bruised elbows, broken down trains, and worst of all, intermittent showers and sunny spells combined with a notable ABSENCE of rainbows, Masood and I managed to get up to Worcester and home again in one piece.

For a while on the train back, we were quietly overwhelmed by just how immensely cool this Osama was, but eventually the silence was broken by a shared meal reminiscent of playground lunchtimes across our nation: sarnies with a layer of crisps added to the filling*.

Tomorrow, I'm going to try and track my Putney lead and continue the online search. For those detractors who are alarmed by our current rate of... er... one Osama per day, please be assured that we are merely getting the ball rolling. We'll find 500 - just watch us. Or even better, help us.

*I know everyone loves this. Don't even try to front.
